There are many “jobs” that go along with owning rental properties, and in some respects, that is what I love the most about my career path. Not only can I provide people with a place to call home, but I get to be a part of the revitalization of our community, an employer and someone who is actively working to better the town that we live in.
I think it is quite a good job.
But there are days where you find yourself doing more of the administrative tasks that need to be done instead of the “fun” work. Today is one of those days where I am lining up contractors for the work that needs to be done this week. It isn’t what I would like to be doing today, but it needs to be done if we are going to get any of our projects done on time.
First on my list is lining up someone to do water damage restoration Agoura Hills as one of our properties has had some issues with leaking pipes.
Next on the list is lining up some contractors to finish the flip that we are working on as well as some general repairs to another unit that we are hoping to rent out by mid-month. In fact, there are more items on the list, but I’m not going to bore you with the details.
I think you get the point.
On a side note, I am really looking forward to tomorrow – I’m going to look at some properties that we might buy to add to the portfolio. It will be a lot of fun.
